Heavenly Father,
You sent Your Son Jesus Christ to gather into one
all the scattered children of God.
We thank You for the gift of faith
shared by Christians of many traditions.
Forgive us for the divisions that wound Your Church and weaken our witness to the world.
Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon us,
that we may grow in love, humility, and mutual understanding.
Teach us to walk together in truth,
to pray together with one heart,
and to serve together with compassion and justice.
Make us instruments of reconciliation,
so that the world may believe
that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
