This week I bought an album called "Blue" by Joni Mitchell, an amazing example of honest, emotional yet sophisticated folk music from 1971. To me this album exemplifies the idea of "less is more", and the sparse nature of the arrangements lets you fully experience her amazing voice and highly developed songwriting.
