VIDEO TLDR AND UPDATES

You never know what will happen at an airport like YVR! I was randomly scrolling FR24 one day when I saw the mysterious Iberojet A350 listed on the departures board. After confirming that it wasn't a glitch, I headed down to the hill in the pouring rain to see this extremely random flight.

Why was it here? Iberojet was operating a charter flight for a Spanish tour group of over 400 people. The group was scheduled to travel the Canadian rockies via bus all the way over to Calgary before returning home to Spain. The single-class A350 travelled to Vancouver with most of its 432 seats occupied and then returned home to Madrid as an empty ferry flight. A week later, the aircraft ferried over to YYC and then back to Madrid with the tour group on board according to Alex Praglowski Aviation and the airline.

Such a treat to see an interesting aircraft! Thanks to the YVR Spotters group on FaceBook for providing some information on it :)

The Story of YVRgopher
YVRgopher originally started as a school math project in May, 2020. Over the course of the pandemic, plane spotting has become a passion and a hobby of mine.
