Andorra Epic is a 4-stage team-based (duo) mountain bike race, part of the Epic Series (the same as the Cape Epic).
The third stage begins in Canillo. The stage begins with a 10-km fast climb through the roads to ride back on the opposite side of the valley through a mudfest rock garden section. After all of this messy riding comes the toughest climb of the day. It is not very long, but it is very steep; kudos to those that never walked it. Some quick riding later comes the next big climb which although longer it came with an easier incline. The longest downhills came first down Mont Magic as a combination of fast trails and extremely steep and technical downhills to end up back in Canillo to climb AGAIN (mostly road, fortunately) to get to the T-Section at Beixalis down to La Massana to the finish line.
2390 meters climbing, 2700 meters downhill over 39 miles.
