Alleppey, Kerala is known as the Venice of the East. The people here live their lives primarily around the backwater canals that make up much of the city. The state of Kerala is located on the coast in south India and it moves at a slower and much more relaxed pace than the rest of India. The food and culture in south India is also different from what you will find in north India.
While in Kochi we found a wonderful tuk tuk driver who guided us in an unforgettable local experience.
