The OLED of My Dreams - LG 45GX950A (4K Ultrawide)
Can you believe it the OLED that I and probably many other people have been waiting for is finally here and yes It is official. This is actually coming from LG's newsroom. So it doesn't get any more official than this and According to LG they're gonna be debuting two new 4k OLED displays in 2025 by the looks of it at least and that's gonna be the 45 GX 990 a and the 45 GX 950 a what a mouthful, but these two OLEDs are actually gonna be 5k 2k. What do I mean by that? Well, it's gonna be 51 20 by 2160 which means it's gonna be an ultra wide monitor But instead of it being a 1440p type of resolution, it's going to be 4k, but just wider So the ultra wide that everybody's been waiting for and it's gonna be OLED can it get much better? Well, I'm sure it can over the coming years, but this is a very good start to finally bringing 4k to ultra wide users. This has been a feature requested for many many years and yes It is here now the 45 GX 990 a is actually gonna be a bendable version that can go from flat all the way to 900 are which is a very aggressive curve and this is as the name might suggest a 45 inch variant which to be honest with you guys the 1440p 45 inch version that I reviewed although it had some things I didn't love that size and that curve was so immersive that at the time I said if they made this with a better coating and a 4k resolution and brighter It would be absolutely incredible. Well, it looks like all of those things are likely to be addressed and not only that but it looks like apparently the 45 GX 950a which is the non bendable version is actually gonna have an 800 our curve and Displayport 2.1
