After spending a cold and damp night, I woke up to thick fog. My goal for the day was to reach Saint Véran, the highest village in France. Unfortunately, I found myself trapped in a relentless storm, with rain pouring nonstop. Seeking refuge from the downpour, I climbed back into my car and drove further south, crossing into Italy. The rain briefly stopped, but only for a short while. Determined to make the most of the break, I headed toward the Ligurian Hills, where I finally got some relief.

While exploring, I stumbled upon a hidden, overgrown track winding into the hills, and it looked like I was about to discover something off the beaten path. With each turn, I ventured deeper into the forest. The track became steeper and narrower, stretching endlessly, rattling the car with every bump and twist. Before I knew it, I came across an amazing clearing, offering stunning views of the hills below. It was so peaceful and quiet—just me and the mountains. Relieved the rain had stopped, I decided to set up camp right there.
