It's a volleyball performance gym workout, where we film a session with one of our high school volleyball athletes. The session is focused on improving change of direction ability, essentially the ability to divert forces and absorb forces. We work on linear change of direction, and then we progress it into lateral and linear change of direction. This workout is to perfect mechanics and fundamentals of footwork for volleyball, so we aren't too worried about speed, just mechanics. Then we move into our full body strength workout for volleyball. We want to build explosive strength for volleyball, improve our jump for volleyball, improve shoulder strength, stability, and health, as well as increase core and rotational abilities.
