Mike from Nature's Neighbor performs 'For the Widows in Paradise' from Sufjan Stevens' 2003 album Michigan.
I can't believe that it has taken me this long to cover a Sufjan song. He has got to be one of the greatest story tellers in music and he is definitely one of my top 10 favorite artists of all time. The albums Illinois and Michigan are very close to my heart being that I am from the Mid West and it felt great to do a version of one of my favorite tracks off Michigan. I got to use the music room and many of the instruments at one of the schools I teach at and it was extremely fun to record and perform. I definitely will be doing something like this again when I get the chance. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!
