Music composed by Andy Lamy, Original Irish Language Poem by Grainne Ni Fhoighil. This poem was adapted to an Irish language song with some insightful modifications by Brid Ni Mhaoileoin.

An ghaothe ag aoigíon
Deora báistí
Muir is Oileán
‘S mise ina measc
Scata nua óglaí na seisiúra im chuideachta
Íomhá a mbrí fós feiceaileach ag spraoí
Ó dheas is féidir mo bhrat a scaoileadh
uaim
Go sníomhadh sí díreach thríd
tuillsmaoinntí na dtonn
Laethanntaí ciúine í séibh thar m’anamsa
Laethanntaí eile mar ribiní oilc
Tonntracha tiubhe ag titim ar an bPlassey
Iomaí stoirm ‘tá feicithe aici ‘nois
Claonta le fada ar Charraig na Finise
Í mórlach
Bródúil
Deargaí le h-aimsir
Siúilim ar ais thríd Bhaile Lurgain
Is ann a nochtaíodh dom uaigneas mo chroí
Aghaidh Áranach ní fheicim gan castáil leat
Glór gaelach ní chloisim gan tusa ann
Áilleacht an t-uaigneas

Wind is howling
Tears of rain
Ocean and Island
Me between
Sensing a scatter of seasonal youths
Vigorously playing in their wake
Releasable cloth unwinds in the south
Weaving direct spindles of
remembered thought
On quiet days wrapping calmness
around soul
Others days as ribbons of torn pain
Swollen thick waves pound the Plassey
Many’s a storm she has seen by now
Long years propped upon Carraige na
Fínise
Evident
Proud
Weather beaten red
Walking back through Lurgan village
Spaciously exposing my heart’s
loneliness
Each Araner’s face it is you that I see
Each Irish voice it is you that I hear
Beauty’s loneliness
Enticed by her
Decrepit wounds willing to heal
But where in the wide world
Can they be healed?
