To be honest my idea of building a 5 ft tunnel, fully lined and lit was a bit of a fantasy but I did it, but maybe not to the standard of my imagination.
To build a wooded cliff on top of the tunnel was a bit daunting and I had very little idea of how to achieve it, but some scrap polystyrene packaging and a hot wire cutter given as a Christmas before last present, helped a lot. My idea of linking a platform bridge to the wood so ramblers could walk between the trees and gaze down on to the railway , had to be scrapped due to lack of skill and space.
I intended to grass the cliff and plant loads of trees on it. Having now finished covering the polystyrene with mod rock type plaster bandage and doing a mock up with a pack of 10 trees, I have, have realised that I need about 150 trees. Time for a re think, so watch this space.
If you have any suggestions either down to earth or as wild as you like, I would love to hear them.
