The BOREAS P2 is a horizontal packed bed scrubber engineered for industrial air streams containing acid gases, corrosive vapors, odors, and fine particulates.
Its low-profile horizontal design makes it ideal for facilities with limited vertical height, indoor installations, mezzanine spaces, or retrofit projects where a tall vertical tower cannot be used.
This system combines precise water distribution, high-surface-area packing media, and an efficient mist eliminator to deliver reliable gas absorption and dust capture in a compact footprint.
⚙️ How the BOREAS P2 Works
1️⃣ Air Inlet and Flow Stabilization
Contaminated air enters the scrubber through a horizontal duct connection.
Inside, the airflow slows and spreads evenly, reducing turbulence before entering the packed zone.
2️⃣ Spray Zone & Chemical Injection
A series of spray nozzles saturate the packing and introduce the scrubbing solution.
This creates a high-efficiency contact environment where gases begin to dissolve and react.
3️⃣ Packed Bed Absorption Section
The heart of the scrubber.
Air travels horizontally through a deep bed of structured or random packing media.
Here, the scrubbing liquid continuously coats the packing, creating thousands of micro-surfaces that maximize mass transfer.
