NESFAS is working collaboratively across diverse communities and sectors to preserve biodiversity and promote food sovereignty in northeast India. In this lesson, Pius will describe how his people's ways of knowing food are protecting and regenerating local ecosystems while ensuring nutrition security for their communities. NESFAS embraces agroecology--a holistic and integrated approach to promoting sustainable and regenerative food systems that is rooted in the knowledge and practices of indigenous peoples.
Food EDU is facilitated by the American Heart Association and the Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT as co-secretariats of The Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI).
