A young woman was kidnapped in broad daylight from in front of the Superintendent of Police's bungalow in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Men in a black Scorpio dragged the woman into the vehicle and sped away. When police officers present at the scene tried to stop them, the kidnappers attempted to run them over. The woman's in-laws allege that the people in the Scorpio were from the woman's family. They claim that the young man and woman had a court marriage, but the woman's family was unhappy about it.
