New Y axis upgrade linear rail for ELEGOO Neptune 3 Pro、Neptune 4 installation guide
1.Remove the platform board and disassemble the fixing screws of the heated bed board (Neptune 4 uses a combination of springs and hand-twisted nuts), and keep them for later use.
2.Take down the heated bed board and store the isolation columns for later use.
3.Loosen the tensioner of the synchronous belt and remove both ends of the synchronous belt.
4.Remove the screws of the synchronous belt tensioner, take off the tensioner, and keep it for later use.
5.Move the slider plate out of the Y-axis profile.
6.Remove the 4 POM wheels from the slider plate.
7.Use M4*8 screws and M4 T-type nuts to respectively attach them to the long beams.
8.Place the auxiliary heightening plate on the machine casing, then align the long beams with the Y-axis profile, and place them on the heightening plate. Ensure a slight gap between the long beams and the front plastic. Then tighten the screws.
9.Use M3*5 screws to fix the linear guide on the long beams. At this point, you can 3D print two fixtures for better alignment of the two linear guides.
10.Place a small pad on the slider, then place a support plate on the small pad. Use M3*8 screws to fix them on the slider. Slide the slider to check if it can move smoothly and touch the Y-axis limit switch.
11.Place circular silicone pads above the threaded holes of the support plate.
12.Use M5*8 screws to fix the slider plate on the support plate. Pay attention to the direction of the slider plate (the smallest corner of the slider plate facing the motor). First, screw the screws into the two small holes on the slider plate (the left two), and then install the other screws.
13.Install the synchronous belt tensioner back onto the Y-axis profile.
14.Fix both ends of the synchronous belt on the slider plate and adjust the tensioner to the appropriate tightness.
15.Install the heated bed board back onto the slider plate, making sure not to miss the isolation columns (Neptune 4 uses a combination of springs and hand-twisted nuts).
16.Place the platform board back onto the heated bed board.
The upgrade is complete. After re-leveling the machine (please refer to the official tutorial), you can proceed with printing. Thank you.
