Hi everyone, in my latest trip from Cluj Napoca I saw a potentially dangerous situation next to the runway.

What do you think about this concerning situation at Cluj-Napoca CLJ airport? Do you see how many birds are flying next to the airplanes, and next to the runway? Do you think there is a proper Wildlife Risk Management plan in place?

I could see a lot of black birds (crows or ravens) the size of a medium chicken and a really big flock of pigeons next to the parked airplanes, and next to the landing runway.

I think this is a major safety issue, and it is clearly a bad example of Wildlife Risk Management if there is such a thing at Cluj-Napoca Airport

Also I would like to know what are the safety procedures in place at CLJ airport in case of a Bird Strike.


Another big concern according to Captain Sully (link to the video below) is the vicinity of the city's integrated waste management site which is a massive attraction to birds.
