Guwahati, 20th September:- Our school organised a solemn mourning meeting on the passing of Mr. Zubeen Garg, the legendary Assamese singer, on 20th September at 9 am in the school auditorium. Students and teachers gathered to pay tribute to his extraordinary life and contribution to Indian music.
Mr. Zubeen Garg, known for his soulful voice and versatile talent, had sung in multiple languages and produced numerous hit songs. He was also a music director, actor, and a humanitarian (মানবীয়তা) who supported several social causes. During the meeting, his popular songs were played, and teachers spoke about his inspiring journey and influence on youth.
The programme ended with a two-minute silence after which the Principal formally closed the meeting, expressing gratitude for his unforgettable legacy.
