Ingredients :

Rice – 1 glass (soaked for 4-5 hours)
Urad dal-2tbsp
Fresh grated coconut – ½ cup
Salt – 1tsp
Water – as needed (for grinding and batter consistency)
Process :
Step1:
Wash and soak 1 cup of rice in water for 4-5 hours (or overnight for better softness).
Step2:
Drain the soaked rice and grind it with grated coconut and a little water to form a smooth, pourable batter.
Add salt and mix well. The batter should be of pancake or dosa batter consistency.
Step3:
Heat a tawa (griddle) or non-stick pan on medium heat.
Pour a ladleful of batter into the center of the pan. Do not spread the batter like dosa—it should naturally form a round shape.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low-medium heat for 3-4 minutes until the edges lift slightly and the top becomes spongy. There’s no need to flip it.
Once cooked, gently remove it from the pan. Serve warm milkwith jaggery syrup, kheer or dalma or ghuguni for a traditional experience.
