This 16mm film takes an interesting look at the Australian company McPherson's Ltd, which for more than 120 years was a large supplier of industrial tools, fittings and machinery all around Australia. Though this is an early kind of "infomercial", it gives us a historical insight into the manufacturing and retailing of a diverse range of hardware and machinery in Australia in the early 1950's. Quite unusual also that such a film was made in color (Kodakchrome), though I guess they probably only made a few prints. Historical Note: McPherson's is still going strong, though their business has somewhat changed since the 1980's. They are now primarily a supplier of non-electrical housewares in Australia, Asia and North America, and also still have a large printing division. Made by Cine Service 1953.
