This 16mm film documents the mining of iron ore at Mt. Goldsworthy in the northwest of Western Australia, and its transport and export by bulk carriers. Shows family life in an isolated mining community. Historical note: The reserves of iron ore were depleted by 1994, and the mine was closed and the town abandoned. All buildings were removed and the land returned to its natural state as much as possible. Little now remains to be seen of the town. This 16mm film was produced by WAVE (West Australian Visual Education) in 1970.
