Simple Gifts - Cello and Acoustic Guitar arrangement

Happy Thanksgiving! Cellist Kevin Irving and I recorded the Shaker tune "Simple Gifts" while on a contract in New England. We began riffing on the Yo-Yo Ma & Alison Krauss version of the same and then spun it out to our own adaptation. We found an old barn to lay it down in front of because you HAVE to record in front of an old barn when you're in New England...

The result was this country-inspired rendition that we had a lot of fun putting together in-between our other musical responsibilities.
