In this video I put the final touches to my allotment fence. I add some wires to the fence posts and attach the chicken mesh to the wires. I then dig a bigger trench so I can run some chicken wire horizontally underneath the soil in an attempt to stop rabbits getting in. I reattach the gate to the gatepost and my fence is now complete.
I also do a bit of work in the kitchen where I look through my freezer and try to use as much of my saved fruit from last yours harvest as I can. I make a batch of sloe wine as well as sloe gin, sloe vodka, green gooseberry gin and red gooseberry gin.
Finally I tidy up my strawberry plants by sorting through the runners I made last year and emptying out the old 3 year old strawberry plants and replacing them with either two year old strawberry plants or one year old strawberry runners.
