🌄Mangi Tungi Details :
⛰️ Mangi-Tungi Fort: Conquering 3,500 Steps to a Jain Paradise! (Travel Guide & Experience)👇⬇️
Ever wondered what it feels like to climb 3,500 steps to the clouds? Join me on this epic adventure as I explore the historic and spiritually significant Mangi-Tungi Fort! Standing over 4,500 feet high, these two majestic mountains are a pilgrimage site and a trekker's dream, offering some of the most stunning views in Maharashtra.
In this video, you will see:
The challenging but rewarding 3,500-step climb to the top of both Mangi and Tungi forts.
The breathtaking ancient Jain temples nestled high up in the mountains.
My unforgettable experience, especially the magic of being surrounded by clouds during the early morning ascent!
A visit to the incredible 108-foot World's Tallest Jain Statue at the base.
Logistics & How to Get There (Must Read!):
Planning your own Mangi-Tungi trip? Here are the essential tips I learned:
Railway Stations: The closest major junctions are Manmad Junction or Nashik Road Junction.
To the Village: From the station, take a bus to Tharabad Village.
The Final Push: Mangi-Tungi is just 12 km from Tharabad. I highly recommend hiring a cab for the final stretch.
Pro-Tip for the Best Experience (Mangi-Tungi Plan):
Go Early! To conquer the 3,500 steps without the harsh sun, start your cab ride around 5:00 AM. The weather is cool, and the climbing is much better
The Taxi Shortcut: A taxi service is available that drops you near the main Jain statue at the top, but they only start around 8:00 AM. If you want the full trekking experience (climbing all the steps), go at 5:00 AM!
The Order: Climb Mangi Fort first, and then proceed to Tungi Fort for a complete journey. After You Visit World Highest 108 Feet Jain Statue.
My Unbelievable Monsoon Experience!
If you can, visit during the monsoon season. The whole experience is simply unbelievable! The mountains are cloaked in rain and clouds, creating a mystical, high-vibe atmosphere that makes the effort absolutely worth it.
