(Trying to) Fastpacking the Speyside Way | One of Scotland's Great Trails

🌄 Trail Overview:
The Speyside Way is one of Scotland's Great Trails, stretching 137km from Buckie to Newtonmore. Renowned for its breathtaking scenery, this trail offers riverside paths, dense woodlands, whisky distilleries, and a glimpse into Scotland’s rich history.

In this video, I attempt to fastpack the trail. Spoiler alert: I didn't make it to the end! Follow my journey to see what went wrong and how I adapted to the challenges.

🚂 Getting to the Trailhead:
From Aviemore, I took the train to Elgin using split tickets for cheaper fares and then caught a Stagecoach bus to Buckie, where the trail begins. The trip took about 4 hours, arriving in Buckie at 11:30am—the earliest possible time via public transport.
