Η ανάβαση στον Κόρακα Βαρδουσίων από τη διαδρομή Ασανσέρ είναι μια από τις πιο direct και απαιτητικές επιλογές στο βουνό. Στις 15 Νοεμβρίου 2025, μαζί με τον Νίκο ξεκινήσαμε από Αθήνα μετά τα μεσάνυχτα και μπήκαμε στο μονοπάτι του Αθανάσιου Διάκου στις 05:30, με στόχο να φτάσουμε στα αλπικά πριν το πρώτο φως.
Τα χαμηλά τμήματα του μονοπατιού είχαν κακή χάραξη και ασθενή σηματοδότηση, όμως με λίγες κορδέλες στα δέντρα καταφέραμε να ανέβουμε στο αλπικό, όπου πλέον “σε οδηγεί το βουνό”. Φορτωμένοι με σακίδια 10 κιλών – προσομοίωση για τις χειμερινές εξορμήσεις με τεχνικό εξοπλισμό και σχοινιά – συνεχίσαμε απροβλημάτιστα μέχρι την κορυφή.
Η κατάβαση έγινε από τις κακοτράχαλες Κοπρισιές, ολοκληρώνοντας μια δυνατή και εντυπωσιακή εξόρμηση στα Βαρδούσια.

The ascent to Korakas Peak in the Vardousia Mountains via the Asanser (Elevator) route is one of the most direct and demanding lines on the mountain. On November 15th, 2025, Nikos and I left Athens after midnight and entered the Athanasios Diakos trail at 05:30, aiming to reach the alpine zone right at dawn.
The lower section had poor trail marking and unclear route lines, but a few ribbons on the trees helped us navigate toward the alpine zone, where the terrain naturally guides you upward. Carrying 10-kg packs – simulating the extra weight of winter ascents with technical gear and ropes – we continued steadily all the way to the summit.
We descended via the rough Koprisies route, completing a challenging and impressive adventure on Vardousia.
