The murder of Tyerune G. Blocker in Alachua County, Florida, stemmed from a love triangle investigation involving the intended target, Derrick A. Williams, and three suspects: Doug Heath, Martesha Johnson, and Jasmine Webb. The investigation revealed that the conflict originated from an argument over social media due to Jasmine Webb's relationship with Williams. On May 17, 2021, the three suspects traveled in a vehicle to a rural area with the intent to harm Williams; however, a resulting shooting from their car tragically killed Blocker, an innocent bystander, while Williams, the intended victim, was unharmed. Following the investigation, Doug Heath and Martesha Johnson were found guilty of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, receiving life sentences, while Jasmine Webb was sentenced for manslaughter.
