The Unexpected Lessons Travel Taught Me

Failure is part of the process - My Trip Gone Wrong Storytime.

Failure is a big word, and a lot of people (myself included) are afraid of it. But have you ever asked yourself — what’s the worst that can actually happen? In this story time, I share a failed roadtrip during my solo travel journey and how it became one of the biggest lessons in my filmmaking / content creation journey.

All successful filmmakers, entrepreneurs, and content creators have ONE thing in common: they’re willing to fail in order to succeed. They constantly step outside their comfort zone. I was genuinely gutted when my body gave up on me during this trip, but I still pushed myself to record myself, adapt, and turn the experience into a video. This is a real day in my life, unfiltered and honest.

I’m in no position to give advice, but one of the biggest takeaways from doing YouTube, filmmaking, videography, and content creation, is that things won’t always go as planned. This video is a reminder that growth often comes from discomfort.

If you’re feeling demotivated or discouraged, keep going. Push through. Eventually, the hard work will pay off. I also share a few personal travel tips / reflections from this experience that might help you on your own journey as a filmmaker or creator.
