See Our New Twist on a Christmas Village House!

Happy New Year, nerds! We're Alex and Dani, and we're seriously nerdy about our porcelain house glow ups. Don’t believe us? This is our fourth one so far! In this video, we’re going to take the Simpson & Sons Opticians house from Lemax and glow it up with an original storyline that fits within our Seriously Nerdy North Pole. It’s a world filled with champagne and candy canes and anthropomorphic gingerbread folk. Totally normal holiday stuff here! Meet Bing and his younger brother, Bowie. These elf brothers inherited Simpson & Sons Opticians when Ma and Pa Simpson retired, so they decided to remodel the building in a style that fits each of them: Bing’s more of a traditional cocoa fellow while Bowie is all fantastical gumdrops! One of the things we love about using these Lemax houses is figuring how to put our own spin on the house elements while honoring the general theme and story. For this build, we modified a few exterior elements before priming it and giving it a new exterior paint and glittering snow effects. Then we used tabletop figures inside each of the building’s wrap windows to bring Bing and Bowie to life. We hope you have a safe and happy start to 2024.
