The Sunni Ash'aris believe that the speech of Allah is an eternal attribute of Allah that does not resemble the speech of creation.
The speech of creation is temporal. It has a beginning and an end. It is composed of letters and sounds. The speech of Allah, on the other hand, transcends all these limitations.
As for the najdi Salafis, they believe Allah speaks with letters and sounds that emerge from the Dhat (being) of Allah and then seize. When they seize, they are followed by silence.
