Ingredients
1 Tbsp – Instant dry yeast
1 Tsp – Sugar
Salt to taste
Lukewarm water (as required)
240 g – Refined flour (all-purpose flour)
1 cup – Water
2 – Mozzarella cheese blocks
1 cup – Panko breadcrumbs
1 cup – Potatoes (cubed & boiled)
Oil – For deep frying
Mayonnaise – For garnish
Tomato ketchup – For garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare Yeast Batter
1. In a bowl, mix:
o Instant dry yeast
o Sugar
o Lukewarm water (2–3 tbsp.)
2. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
3. Add flour, salt, and gradually add 1 cup water.
4. Mix into a thick & sticky dough (not runny).
5. Cover and let dough rest for 30–40 minutes, until slightly risen.
2. Prepare Filling
1. Cut mozzarella blocks into long sticks (corn-dog size).
2. Optional: Insert a stick/skewer into each cheese block.
3. Coat
1. Spread boiled potatoes slightly mashed on a plate.
2. Spread panko breadcrumbs separately.
3. Dip mozzarella cheese sticks into the yeast batter.
4. Immediately roll in boiled potatoes.
5. Then coat in panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently.
4. Fry
1. Heat oil on medium flame.
2. Deep-fry coated sticks until golden & crisp.
3. Remove & drain on paper towel.
5. Garnish & Serve
• Drizzle mayonnaise + ketchup
• Serve hot!
