Seven decades after independence, the dream of the people of Mizoram has come true. For the first time, an Indian train has reached Aizawl, the 51 km long railway line from Bairabi to Sairang is ready and now the trials have been completed.
आज़ादी के सात दशक बाद मिज़ोरम के लोगों का सपना पूरा हुआ। पहली बार भारतीय ट्रेन आइज़ोल तक पहुंची है, बैराबी से सैरांग तक 51 किलोमीटर लंबी रेलवे लाइन तैयार है और अब ट्रायल पूरे हो चुके हैं। सैरांग स्टेशन आइज़ोल से सिर्फ 12 किलोमीटर दूर है। ये मिज़ोरम को पहली बार पूरे भारत के रेल नेटवर्क से जोड़ रहा है। रेलवे के मुताबिक ये सफर अब 4-5 घंटे की सड़क यात्रा से घटकर एक से डेढ़ घंटे का हो जाएगा। गुवाहाटी, दिल्ली, कोलकाता, सब अब मिज़ोरम से रेल से जुड़ेगा, बैराबी-सैरांग प्रोजेक्ट रेल मंत्रालय की ओर से पूर्वोत्तर के सभी राज्यों की राजधानियों को रेल से जोड़ने की मुहिम का अहम हिस्सा है।
