Fly Tying the Finch (fuzzy partridge wet fly or nymph)

Created by Ron Landis and found in Dick Stewart and Farrow Allen's 1993 "Flies for Trout," the Finch is an easy to tie wet fly that can be fished actively or drifted as a standard fuzzy nymph.

Hook: #12-16 1x long wet fly
Thread: Tan
Body: Antron dubbing, any color
Thorax: Peacock herl
Collar: Partridge (or hen) after-shaft feather
Hackle: Partridge
