Ex-Olympian Kirsty Coventry becomes first woman to be elected as IOC president

Two-time Olympic gold medallist and Zimbabwe sports minister, Kirsty Coventry, has been announced as the new president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), beating Britain's Lord Seb Coe.

This means Ms Coventry has become the first woman to be elected to the position, and she says she "will lead this organisation with so much pride" and with "the values at the core".
