Spaghetti Carbonara must be one of the simplest meals in Italian cuisine. Carbonara is really easy and quick to make. All you need is spaghetti, eggs, some cubes of cured pork - guanciale, pancetta of bacon lardons, and some cheese to finish it. Carbonara is frequently messed about with outside Italy - people will add cream, or mushrooms, or garlic. These additions are fine, but not really necessary and the resulting dish is not actually carbonara.
Try making spaghetti carbonara the simple way - it's hard to believe that something so simple can taste so good, but it does. In this video I also show you how to make your own fresh spaghetti.
