Jessie McCartney opened for the Jonas Brothers at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on November 29, 2025. I wasn't really aware of his music but I was familiar of him through various music and gossip magazines. So when they rolled out the piano, I was surprised to learn that he co-wrote (with Ryan Tedder), one of my favorite songs, "Bleeding Heart." Leona Lewis, a former British X-Factor winner, took the song to #1 internationally (including the USA) and turned her into a global superstar. By matter of coincidence, Ms Lewis was also performing in Las Vegas at the Venetian Theater the same night. It would have been incredible if she surprised us with a duet, but she had her own show to do. In the long run, it didn't matter, Jessie McCartney reclaimed the song.
