Midgauge Fairisle Round Yoke Cardigan, Back

This is a support video for the Midgauge Fairisle Round Yoke Cardigan. It demonstrates knitting the back on an LK150 knitting machine. The pattern is also suitable for Brother KX350 machines, as the LK150 and KX350 carriages are nearly identical. All instructions will work for both machines.

In this video I show how to add short row sections below the yoke to improve the fit. This includes how to fix a dropped stitch, and increasing for the raglan seam below the yoke while knitting the short row sections.

I then knit through the back, and finish at the bottom with hand latched ribbing on the machine. Included are some tips that make hand-latched ribbing a little easier. The most important hint is to always add a lifeline before dropping the rib stitches. Stitches cannot run down past this line, and will automatically drop to the same row for every column. I use a long steel needle in the demonstration. Many larger craft stores carry these, but in case you are not able to find one locally, Amazon also has them.
