How do you start coaching and get paid for it when you have no experience and no client? Well, that’s what I discuss in this video. You see, as daunting as building a coaching business may seem, there are really just a few things that you need to focus on in the beginning in order to get your first clients.

The first thing is to think about what you have experience in. Now, there are certain industries where you may have to get a certification or license in order to provide coaching services; however, outside of those specific industries, the thing that really matters most is your own experience. Do you have the expertise necessary to get your client the result that they desire? If you do, then that’s all the experience you need.

Another important thing to consider before you start coaching is the result that you’ll be able to help people achieve. The result you choose should be something tangible. If, for example, you're doing happiness coaching, think about what it is going to actually look like for your client to be happy. How will their life be changed?

Once you have that result in mind, it’s then time to think about the process that you’ll use to get there. To do this, it’s helpful to break this process into a three month period, which can become your first coaching package.

As long as you have a skill or some valuable experience that you can share, you’ll be able to start coaching and get paid. Think about what your client needs, and how you’ll help them achieve it. If you can do that, you can start building your business.
