Day 4 of our Walt Disney World & Disney Cruise Line December 2023 vlog series!
Today is Castaway Cay day and we are so excited for this. We started off going to breakfast in Marceline Market which is a buffet style before getting ready to get off the cruise ship for an explore around Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. We needed our room key and it did say that we also needed ID but this was never checked, we ended up only needing our room key.
They have towels when you exit the ship so you dont need to take a towel.
We decided to go right to Serenity Bay which is the adult only 18+ beach, the drive there did remind us of Jurassic Park!! We spent a good hour at the beach relaxing, we moved the little chairs to the ocean so we could sit with our feet in the water, it was such a stunning beach. I had to take my mermaid tail with me but I didnt have a proper swim in it as there was a sign up saying no swimming at the time.
It was then time to go paddleboarding which we had never done before. I managed to stand up on the board and didnt fall in! Mom and dad did fall in and needed to be rescued, Leo fell in but he got back up on his board and carried on. It was a big of a struggle as it was very windy so we got swept out towards the rocks so it wasnt the best, we were not able to just sit and enjoy the water so it was like a workout! Glad we did it though.
We had a bite to eat fo rlunch from the quick service on the island, it was like a BBQ style and the food was really yummy!
We quickly went back on the ship to drop off some items and change before going back to the island for a little bit of shopping. Love the Disney merch!
After more time on the island it was time to get back onboard. By that time we realised from paddleboarding we had sunburn - it was our own fault for not topping up our sunscreen. We decided to take it easy for the night before going to our evening meal at Worlds of Marvel - I had my Loki bound on!

Our interactive part was a few minutes ahead of everyone elses so it was lighting up before we needed to push the buttons! The food was all soo good and Spiderman came around after dessert which was a nice touch!
