The beginning of "Channel 6 News at 11" on CBS affiliate WRGB in Schenectady, NY, serving the Albany DMA. If you like WRGB, I have a ton of this station coming up for December, with the bulk of the content focusing on Greg Floyd's retirement.
26 years ago, however, WRGB's news was anchored by Brad Holbrook and Sue Nigra. Only Sue is shown here, as Brad had the night off; Sabrina Fang does the top story. The expansion of Columbia Turnpike in East Greenbush was met with protests by local residents. I used to live out that way and it's interesting to see old video of that area (long before Google Maps). Among the shots are of a former Dunkin' Donuts (now part of Michael's Auto Plaza) and a set of bushes that have since been bulldozed in favor of the new Dunkin' location and a local bank.
The news theme is In-Sink by 615 Music, and Jeff David voices the news open. In a few weeks the news theme changed to the CBS Enforcer, and at the same time Liz Bishop joined Holbrook at 11.
