Volumes are the big, prism-shaped climbing features that change the shape of the wall. Any volume at VITAL can be used as a hand or foot hold for any climb—i.e. volumes are always "on"!
550 volumes have just arrived in Brooklyn after traveling across the country from Bellingham, Washington where we have our very own volume shop. It took just over a year to have former VITAL route setters hand-build all volumes of all different sizes and shapes so the angles of our walls in Brooklyn are constantly changing!
