Good morning and welcome to Root & Soul.
This short, gentle 5-minute routine is designed to help you shake off that overnight heaviness, wake up your lymphatic system, get your blood flowing, and ease your body into the day.
No equipment, no sweating — just simple movements you can do anywhere to feel lighter, more energised, and more awake.
If you’re looking for a quick morning routine, lymphatic tapping practice, or an easy way to activate your body first thing, this one is perfect.
✨ Routine Overview
1. Lymphatic Tapping
• 20 circles behind the ears (both sides)
• 30 taps above the clavicles
• Inside of the left upper arm
• Inside of the right upper arm
• Armpits
• Groin (left + right)
• Behind the knees
• Light full-body tapping
(tapping supports circulation, reduces morning stagnation, and helps you switch on after sleep)
2. Gentle Bouncing & Shaking
• Soft bouncing (about 1 minute)
• Shake out arms, shoulders, hips
• Relax the face and jaw
(loosens joints, increases energy, and wakes up the system)
3. Dynamic Movements
• 20 alternating arm waves
• 20 chest openers
• 20 trunk twists
• 20 arm swings
• 30 knee claps
(mobilises the spine, opens the chest, and gets fresh energy moving)
4. Close
• One deep breath
• Feel your body awake and ready for the day
