Clara Takes to the Stage with BBC's Children In Need

Clara, a patient here at Andy's, was diagnosed with a genetic condition called Denys-Drash syndrome. This means an increased risk of developing Wilms' tumour (a type of kidney cancer) and kidney failure, both of which Clara was also diagnosed with. She went through radiotherapy, chemotherapy and a transplant after her Dad donated his kidney, which has now been lovingly called Kevin. Yet she has "taken it in her stride", continuing to be the joyful and happy eight-year-old everyone knows and loves.
And, after showing her love and passion for music, we are excited to reveal that Clara has been chosen to join the Children in Need choir this evening!
