The Truth About Losing Friends | Following God, Navigating Friendship Breakups, Standing Your Ground

Friendship breakups are never easy, but they hit differently when they’re tied to a major life change like getting saved and committing to your walk with Christ. If you’ve ever lost friends after giving your life to God, you’re not alone. It can feel confusing, painful, and even isolating, especially when so many shifts are happening at once.

For a long time, I struggled with feelings of rejection and abandonment. I questioned why certain friendships didn’t survive this new chapter of my life. But one thing that brought me peace was realizing that the rejection wasn’t really about me. It was about God. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt, but it does give me clarity on where to take my emotions and who to surrender them to.
