Is the door on your 1998 Ford Explorer/Mercury Mountaineer not locking or unlocking when you use the key fob? Well, it is most likely your Door Lock Actuator that has failed! Don't worry, it isn't a nightmare to replace. In this video, I will be showing you the steps to remove the Door Lock Actuator from your Explorer with some simple tools, including a flat head screwdriver and a 3/8" wrench.
You will need to remove the door panel from your vehicle in order to replace the actuator (not shown in video)
