On the 6th June 1944, tens of thousands of allied forces took part in the largest land, air and sea operation in history. During the dark days of World War 2, the heroism of those who fought for us on D-Day served as a beacon of light and hope.
At 10:30am on the 6th June 2024 the Hartlepool Armed Forces Liaison Group commemorated our D-Day Heroes with a service at the Cenotaph.
This service was an opportunity to remember the courageous and selfless efforts that took place on the beaches of Normandy 80 years ago.
