Blackpool Tramway 130 Years Celebrations - Sunday 27th September 2015.

After the huge success of the first day, the second day was just as fantastic. Plenty of trams to see both at Blundell Street/Rigby Road and at Pleasure Beach. Whilst the first day was actually getting the trams on show, the second day was more about riding on the trams and bringing back memories of what I and everyone else, used to take for granted.

We once again start at Blundell Street/Rigby Road where the trams on static had changed. This time, it was a balloon affair. Trams on static were Coral Island Jubilee 707, Sealife Jubilee 709 and Walls Balloon 720. We also see various trams leaving the depot bound for the mainline. These are Centenary 642, Balloon 701, Balloon 723, Twin Set 272 + T2, Balloon 719, Centenary 648, Box 40, Boat 230, Western 734 and Balloon 700 on depot shuttles. We also see Motorcar 680 and Engineers 754 shunting about.

We leave Blundell Street/Rigby Road to head onto the mainline and start getting some trams. We first of all see Twin Set 5 depart Pleasure Beach bound for Fleetwood. Then we get our first on-board, Centenary 648 to Cleveleys from Pleasure Beach via Thornton Gate. We then get Twin Set 272 + T2 at Cleveleys and head from there to Bispham, making a stop at Fleetwood first. Next, we hop on Balloon 723 from Bishpam to Pleasure Beach. Straight after, we board Balloon 701 from Pleasure Beach to North Pier via Little Bispham. We then board Twin Set 5 from Pleasure Beach to Cabin via Thornton Gate once again (specially requested run). Lastly at night, we see Boat 230, Western 734 with lights off and Boat 230 around Central Pier.

As you can see from the video and list, quite a list. Credit to all staff and volunteers for making the event possible and for all the trams that came out this day. Hope another event like this is done again!
