A Food Trip to Ayutthaya: Siam's Ruined Capital

Almost every week, whenever we talk about anything related to Thailand, our stories somehow trace back to Ayutthaya. Even in videos about Japan, Portugal, or almost anything related to trade or exploration or cuisine- all roads lead to the ancient capital of Siam. Destroyed in 1767, only recently have visitors rediscovered the seat of the Siamese Empire. But hidden between the restored monuments and commercial buildings, the old soul still survives- as do the dishes that tell the story of the history of this part of the world.
