We had a problem... We had probably the worst rust situation you could have on an ATC 350X... this thing had cancer in some of the worst places... The problem was, it was titled and that's a hard thing to get. So the owner of this machine wanted to try to preserve it if possible. I mean, anything is possible... but what's the cost going to be???
So, my buddy Matt over at @garagemcmatt came through with just the part I needed... an entire rear portion of a frame to replace all the rusty crusty off the frame of the machine we're fixing. Then, just to make sure it would be strong enough, we reached out to Noah at @Swamp.outlaw and ordered a 350X gusset kit from him, along with the matching skid plates!
So, once I had everything in house, we started planning. I sourced some tube to use as inserts for where the new frame would mate up to the old frame. I just wanted this repair to be as strong as possible. I've never, ever tried to do a repair this involved... but I jumped in with both feet and took a stab at it! I'm no professional welder, but I think I did alright! What do you think?
