Excited to announce our upcoming SCSE club on spatially resolved TCR profiling in head & neck cancer (HNSCC) - a case study inspired by McCord et al. (bioRxiv 2025).
The study shows that knowing how many T cells are present isn’t enough - what matters is where they are spatially found, who they neighbor, and whether they preserve memory or drift toward exhaustion.
In this session, we’ll walk through:
🔹 Immune niches vs tumor-rich zones - how stem-like T cells cluster while exhausted T cells disperse.
🔹 Neighborhood & distance analysis - measuring how proximity to tumor or myeloid cells shapes T-cell states.
🔹 From description to mechanism - differential gene expression and ligand–receptor communication (PVR–TIGIT, CD86) in spatial hubs.
