Unboxing & Cooking a whole rabbit in Ramadan🐰

Today, I've got something really exciting for you.
This Ramadan my brother wanted me to up my cooking game and bring some new flavours to the kitchen. So I only went and took that to the next level and bought a whole rabbit from an online store called the online meat shop(Linked below). This company is 100% halal and their reviews were excellent.
In this video, I'll be unboxing the rabbit, showing you what it looks like, and then we’ll dive into the kitchen where I'll be prepping it for the oven, paired with a delicious side of rice.
And to make things even more interesting, my brother will be doing a taste test at the end, so we’ll see how this unique dish turns out!
Make the marinade
5 Cloves of Garlic
1/2 White Onion
1/4 Cup Parsley
1/2 Lime Juice
3 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tsp Smoked Paprika
Black Pepper and Salt to taste
Basting the rabbit
-Garlic butter
In the tray bake
-1 Onion
-Garlic
-Peppers
-butter
-potatoes
Bake for 200C for 1 hour 10 mins (covered with foil) internal temperature should be 71C
Then grill for 10-20 mins until golden brown
A whole rabbit can take 60–90 minutes to cook in an electric oven, depending on the temperature and whether you baste it. The rabbit should reach an internal temperature of 160°F (72°C)
Rice
1-Brown onions
2-Add veg & spices
3-Add water and rice, I used 2 mugs rice and 4 mugs water. When the water 80% evaporated I simmered the rice for 20 mins on medium heat
Method
1- Blend all the marinade ingredients and make a paste
2 -Make basting sauce, melt the butter and add in the ingredients listed above
3-Gut the rabbit if it’s not gutted, cut appropriately, marinate the rabbit and leave in the fridge for 24 hours for best results
4-Cook as instructed above
